Service Description
Relief Through Reflexology About 1 in 5 women who undergo treatment for breast cancer develop secondary lymphedema, a build-up of lymph fluid in the fatty tissues just under the skin that causes swelling of the arm(s). It’s important to identify and address lymphedema as early as possible - when it’s most likely to be reversible. Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD) is an award-winning and unique reflexology sequence, researched and developed in the UK by Sally Kay. RLD stimulates specific lymphatic reflexes on the soles and ankles of the feet to help reduce swelling, prevent infection, improve ability to move and function, and relieve discomfort. The RLD Session The recommended protocol for RLD is a minimum of four sessions. The first consultation is 90 minutes, with three subsequent 60-minute sessions. Measurements and photos will be taken of the affected and non-affected arm, followed by a specific foot reflexology session focusing on the lymphatic system. RLD is non-invasive and involves precise, gentle massage movements on specific parts of the feet. Clients may feel some tender points on the feet. It is also normal to feel a tingling sensation in the swollen limb affected by lymphedema. After each reflexology session, a further set of measurements will be taken to calculate the overall fluid loss achieved. A treatment plan will be discussed to suit each individual client aimed at delivering the best possible outcome. First 90-minute session – $105 Session 2 (60 minutes) - $75 Session 3 (60 minutes) - $75 Session 4 (60 minutes) - $75 No gratuity on RLD services
Cancellation Policy
!!!!PLEASE READ VERY IMPORTANT!!!! Your appointment time is very important to US and YOU! We understand things come up and schedule adjustments are inevitable. Therefore, we respectfully ask for you to give us a 24-hour notice of any changes or cancellation!!! Please understand if you cancel or "No Show" to your Booked appointment without a 24-hour notice it prevents another guest from the opportunity to enjoy our services; The VERY Important part!!!! In the event, The Salt Spa doesn't receive a 24-hour notice of cancellation. You're Booked Appointment is subject to a cancellation fee amounting up to 50% of the service cost. For appointments that require rescheduling after 3 attempts and/or after 3 no call no shows, we may ask for a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the service to be made to hold the new appointment date and time. Couple Massage &/or Couple Reflexology Session booking- In order to book a couple massage and/or reflexology session, a deposit of $50 will be required at the time of booking. This deposit will be kept if the clients do not show and/or call to cancel/ reschedule 24 hours prior to schedule appointment time.
